Application guide
All weather suction and discharge hose
flexFLO™ U 113 uses polyurethane-blended PVC for agricultural dry-material handling. It is a valid entry option in the small-bore fertilizer-transfer progression.
Medium-duty polyurethane dry material handling hose
flexFLO™ lite U 100 uses a polyurethane-lined PVC tube for dry-material abrasion resistance and a clear wall for flow inspection. It does not supply a hose-grounding wire.
Medium-duty polyurethane material handling hose
flexFLO™ U 190 uses a full polyurethane hose wall for abrasive agricultural materials. Its application-specific air-seeder design is offered in 2½- and 3-inch inside diameters.
Medium-duty wet & dry material remote hose with grounding wire
Use for: Grounded abrasive fertilizer recovery.
flexVAC™ lite U Boom ST provides a polyurethane liner, static-dissipating construction and a copper grounding wire for abrasive recovery. It is the lighter boom-hose option and is not food grade.
Heavy-duty abrasion resistant suction and discharge hose
Use for: Abrasive fertilizer recovery without a hose-grounding-wire requirement.
flexVAC™ 180 AR is the heavy-duty abrasion-resistant SBR material-handling option. It provides strong suction capability in a broad size range, but it does not contain a hose-grounding wire.
Heavy-duty abrasion resistant suction and discharge hose
Use for: Grounded dry fertilizer handling.
flexVAC™ 180 STAR combines abrasion-resistant SBR construction, static-dissipating carbon black and a copper grounding wire for demanding dry-material handling.
Notes: The primary progression is for 2½- and 3-inch agricultural fertilizer transfer. Industrial material-handling options appear under Alternative; the required hose grounding determines which products are eligible.
Distinction: The primary agricultural progression applies to 2½- and 3-inch fertilizer transfer. The industrial alternatives address abrasive recovery: flexVAC™ lite U Boom ST and flexVAC™ 180 STAR provide grounding wires; flexVAC™ 180 AR is eligible only where a hose-grounding wire is not required.
Warning: Confirm fertilizer chemistry, coatings, dust, temperature and operating pressure or vacuum. Apply the system’s hose-grounding requirement before choosing an ungrounded product. Where a wire-equipped hose is required, correctly terminate, bond, ground and test it.
Exception: Outside the primary size range, select an industrial alternative only when its available diameter, fertilizer compatibility and operating ratings fit. flexVAC™ 180 AR can address larger diameters, but it cannot replace a wire-equipped hose where a hose-grounding wire is mandatory.
